Geneva International Motor Show 2011

Geneva International Motor Show (Salon International de l'Auto) 2011 was officially opened March 3 to 13, 2011, in Geneva, Switzerland. This annual auto show held in March hosted at the Geneva Palexpo, a convention center located next to the Geneva Cointrin International Airport. This event is organized by the Organization Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles, and considered as an important major International auto show. For this year’s show, at least 170 automobile manufacturers from around the world took part in this event.

First held in 1905, this event always becomes the highlight of the year for all people in the automotive industry. The show usually become major event where all world-class automotive manufactures announcing or introducing prototypes, new equipments, technical breakthrough, international partnership, or even political and social debates. Exotic supercars often steal the spotlight during their debut at the show.

This 81th international auto show featured the latest cars from various world-class manufacturers. Geneva Motor Show also features environmentally friendly cars. At least 40 manufacturers of top display a collection of their green cars.

The areas of the show include; Motor cars 3 or 4 or more wheels, lectric cars and alternative powered cars, special bodywork for motor cars, car design, engineering, converted cars (tuners), accessories and parts for motor cars, OEM: original equipment manufacturers, workshop installations for the repair and maintenance of motor cars, miscellaneous products and services related to the car industry, animation / attractions.
